On a balmy summer’s evening in July, 300 guests enjoyed a magical night of festivities at the annual Amber Ball, hosted at the exclusive Hurlingham Club. To the backdrop of a starry night and twinkling lights, BTRC raised an astounding £50,000.00 through the generous donations on the night. Star prizes included VIP tickets and Paddock Pass to the British Grand Prix, accompanied by the Ecclestone family, as well as “money cant buy” holidays and artwork by Picasso. The annual event is now solidly in the social calendar with celebrities such as Holby City’s Robert Powell, Slavica Ecclestone and Camilla Dallerup in attendance, as well as the charming auctioneer Eric Knowles of Antiques Roadshow fame. Late into the night guests danced the night away, happy after a gourmet meal, fine wines, fabulous prizes and the knowledge that they were part of raising an amazing sum for such a worthy cause.
